Dr. Rush is the current leader on the Parthenon, he’s an engineering genius who’s unfortunately climbed the faction ladder so high as to be relegated to an administrative role. From his lofty perch, Rush’s focus has become mired in politics. It’s his job to oversee the operations of the Parthenon, handling how it influences the factions in the system, and trying to advance workers’ interests.

This position is analogus to being a high-ranking CEO in the corporatist sphere and he hates that. His enemies compare him to the corporatist elites while his allies expect him to move heaven and earth at the drop of a hat. He constantly has to work to keep the workers happy, advance their goals, and still deliver on their obligations to fund advancing their goals. It’s a job that involves handling a thousand internal factions plus the actual task of getting things done.

In the long-term, he has ambitions of reshaping their society, a system that is worker-focused but permissive enough about the corporatists. It would be a fair balance and ensure greater prosperity - at the cost of the shareholders’ balance sheet.

He’s a middle-aged man who refuses to dress like a businessman. You’ll find him still wearing a lab coat or in a simple button down shirt, sometimes a sweater vest. It’ll be a cold day in hell when you find him wearing a suit or anything of that nature. He dresses like his common workers.

The clothes can’t cover up the cost of his job. There’s wrinkles to his face when he smiles, the starting of wrinkles around his eyes. His hair is greying already. It’s stressful work taht robs him of his sleep and it reflects in his looks.

Dr. Rush has no plans of dying any time soon. He’s had some tweaks in his DNA that are hopeful at breaking the 200 year mark. Or if he doesn’t get a vacation soon, the 100 year mark.

The most advanced neural link in existence is built into Rush’s brain. It was custom built by one of his workers, Tesla. This system has a full AI unit paired into the doctor’s brain, giving him near-AI levels of data-processing and working. There is a fail-safe that will fry the unit in the event of a hack. This system provides him network access, comms, tracking, and more.

There’s a small sensor suite in Rush’s hands. They allow him to analyze whatever he’s holding. This was one of his first mods in his younger days. It saved him time, being able to know the contents of a beaker without looking for a label. It became a quick life-convenience feature: he could know if food was safe, scan and save the 3D shape of a room, and a fair few other things.

There are no records of Rush’s early life. His origins are an unknown.

What is known is that he entered the scene in his 20s, with a few degrees to his name, and a penchant for innovation. He quickly played a key role in a dozen endeavors:

  • Micro-Slinger Systems
  • J-Holden’s Theorem (Information Security & Public Disclosures)
  • The Nagata Principle (Certain quantum activities fail in ways that increase their yield)
  • Completion and activation of SOREN
  • Comletion of Phase II Upgrades to Atlantis

Rush quickly gained a simple reputation: put him on the job and it gets done.

This lead to his promotion to leading The Parthenon altogether. That was his job: get the faction’s initiatives done. This proved far more intense than he expected, but he’s been doing it.

The premiere station for all the workers. It’s a shining jewel in the system, the most advanced station ever built anywhere. And it serves as the de-facto headquarters of the workers’ movement.
